Understand what text cleanup changes
Copied text can contain supported invisible Unicode characters and unusual spacing. AI Remove’s Text Watermark Remover removes or normalizes those artifacts while preserving your words. It does not paraphrase a draft or change its meaning intentionally. Review the output before pasting it into an editor, document, or prompt.
The phrase “AI text watermark” can also refer to statistical patterns in word choice. Removing invisible formatting characters does not remove those statistical watermarks and does not prove that a passage was written by a person. Use the tool for the cleanup it reports rather than as an AI-origin test.
Clean a draft without rewriting it
- Keep a copy of your original, then paste the text into the cleaner.
- Choose the source and spacing options that fit your draft. Review the settings before starting cleanup.
- Run the cleaner and inspect the reported changes alongside the finished text.
- Check names, numbers, punctuation, paragraph breaks, and spacing before copying or downloading the result.
For example, an invisible character between two letters may disappear while the visible word stays the same. Spacing normalization can change how a sentence wraps or how a pasted field behaves. A document containing code, poetry, or aligned text needs particular care because whitespace can be part of its intended structure.
Review rather than assume
The tool reports supported cleanup. An unchanged result can mean that it did not find supported artifacts; it does not certify the origin of the text or rule out every possible hidden character. If formatting is still wrong in your destination editor, inspect the original and the cleaned version there.
Use Token Count to compare the prompt size before and after cleanup. Its estimate is useful for planning, but a specific model’s tokenizer may return a different count. The GPT token counter guide explains that distinction.
Submitted text and privacy
The cleaner sends your submitted text to AI Remove’s server. Text is processed in memory without saving it or sending it to an external AI provider. The tool is free to use; no account required. Refreshing or closing the page clears its in-page content. The Privacy Policy explains hosting, connection data, and site analytics separately.
